Its inductive technology cannot be affected by changes in temperature, aging or heavy use.
There can be no "drift" problem of the calibrated voltage setting because the ratio of the coil windings remains constant.
The coil pickup is also not subject to the wear and tear issues that potentiometer joysticks may experience or the degradation of material composition in hall effect joysticks.
The CTI Inductive Industrial Joystick's rugged design has only three moving parts: the shaft (3/8" diameter solid stainless steel), spring guide, and spring. The two parts of the joystick body that surround the shaft bearing are secured together by six screws. All four mounting holes have brass threaded inserts instead of simple clearance holes, which protects the body from cracking due to stress caused by installation, vibration or shock.
