A pendant control (button box) is a control interface used to operate a handling device. There are button boxes on many devices such as winches, lifting hoists, overhead cranes, cranes, industrial or port handling gantries but also on industrial stackers.
They are also used in special applications such as machinery for public works and construction, railways or airport platforms.

The pendant control is generally connected to the device by a specific cable, generally comprising reinforcement carriers to withstand the traction of the pendant position during phases of non-use.
